Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Review

March 21, 2016

You might notice that the palette component itself is very similar to the limited edition packaging on the eyeshadow palette. the only different is the background color, the eyshadow has black blackground and for the blusher it’s in black. Personally I prefer white , most probably because of my “year” mood color is white and gold. What a coincidence!

At first I feel hesitate to buy this palette due to the “high end” price. Nevertheless after done a little calculation, I do think I need to get this palette; FYI I keep thinking about it for a solid of one week. The price of this palette is RM 235 and you would get 6 beautiful and wearable shades for light complexion. I have used all the colors except for “Easy” shade as it’s pretty vibrant compare to the rest and suitable for night makeup.

These are highly pigmented blush but pretty easy to apply on the cheeks without worrying the amount of product. Hush is my most favoirte shade of the bunch because of the gold shimmer in it. Some of the shades are pretty natural on my light skin but it would works for natural makeup look. The formula supposed to last up to 8 hours. Recently I had it ( Hush, Angel and Cherry) with my favorite Laura Mercier Primer + Too Faced Born This Way Foundation underneath , the blush did stay up to 7 hours.

Cherry- Light pink blush with cool blue tone. It has semi-coverage , blendable and buildable which is easy to work with.

Easy- Deep rose pink with fine gold shimmer. Need to control amount of product used on the face as it could turns up pretty opaque during application.

Angel- Light champagne shimmer sheen , also described as highlight for most of all light to medium complexion. The best thing about Angel, although it is a shimmery shade but it does not emphasize pores on complexion. BIG THUMBS UP for this formula. Loving this highlighter for now, completely perfect for my natural makeup look.

Lo-Fi – Light Matte Bronze shade, warm brown with a little orange undertones. It has sheer coverage  , doesn’t turns well on my skin but build-able for getting natural warm cheeks.

Hush- The most favorite shade among all these bunch. Rose- copper-coral-warm -with beautiful gold sheen (I couldn’t describe this amazing shade) , makes my skin looks flattery gorgeous. It reminds me of Nars Orgasm blush, but slightly lighter and of course it is buildable, and  smooth in texture. This is the ultimate reason why I got the palette. hahaha! Bocor rahsia I.

OC – Soft peach blush with warm undertones. In the pan you would see a boring muted matte orange blush but once you swatch it, it is a gorgeous peach shade with a pink duo chrome color. AMAZING FORMULA. It has semi-sheer color payoff but buildable. It is a very interesting color, doesn’t looks typical peach blush at all, it is a gorgeous duo chrome peach-pink blush.
